Water is known as the universal solvent and it is very important for sustaining of life.  The longest time that anyone has lived without food and water is 18 days.  An 18-year old man in Austria was put into a police cell on 1st April 1979, and forgotten!!  When he was discovered on 18th April, he was extremely close to death.
  2. Flea's can jump 130 times higher than their own height. In human terms this is equal to a 6ft. person jumping 780 ft. into the air.
  3. 100 years ago: The first virus was found in both plants and animals.
  4. 90 years ago: The Grand Canyon became a national monument & Cellophane is invented.
